Drexel University Co-op: Software Engineering/Full stack development
Overview
SRI's Integrated Systems and Solutions (InSYS) division designs and develops leading-edge R&D technology that support demanding market needs. Located in Princeton, NJ, InSyS maintains a state-of-the-art products portfolio that includes real-time video processors, integrated video and sensor exploitation solutions, and instrumented training systems for government and commercial sectors. InSyS's Center for Advanced Imaging Embedded Software Team is seeking innovative, highly motivated individuals to join us in the development of software. The ideal candidate would join a multidisciplinary group dedicated to the development of custom image sensor devices, modules, and systems for numerous commercial, spacecraft, and government applications - more specifically, development of high-speed cameras for applications such as low light imaging, space base imagers, and LiDAR cameras. This position will work from our office in Princeton, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Full stack development for Web server
- Designing, developing, coding, testing, and debugging system software
- Analyzing and enhancing efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources
Qualifications
- Current Drexel University student majoring in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer/Software Engineering
- Due to government contract requirements candidates must be a US Citizen
- Programming experience in React, Next.js, PostgreSQL, Typescript or Python.
- Experience in embedded system, i.e., microcontroller, ARM
- Familiarity with software configuration management tools, IDE, bug tracking and code revision tools (GitLab or Git)
Desired qualifications: - Experience with full stack development
The salary range is: $20-$27/hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
